Fe isotopes on cold plasma MC-ICP-MS

S.M. Chernonozhkin, M. Costas-Rodríguez, P. Claeys, and F. Vanhaecke. Evaluation of the use of cold plasma conditions for Fe isotopic analysis via multi-collector ICP-mass spectrometry: effect on spectral interferences and instrumental mass discrimination // J. Anal. At. Spectrom., 2017, Vol. 32 (3), 538-547.

This publication is an example of my keen interest in the development of analytical protocols and deeper understanding of plasma and mass spectrometry processes, which allow isotope proxies to be applied to geo- and cosmochemical problems. This side project, which was done at the end of my PhD, evaluates the cold plasma conditions in multicollector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with an ultimate goal to optimize the conditions for Fe high-precision isotope ratio measurements.
