Evaluation of rammelsbergite (NiAs2) as a novel mineral for 187Re-187Os dating and implications for unconformity-related U deposits // Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, 2020, Vol. 280, 85-101.
The following manuscript is among the results of my postdoctoral stay in Nancy, where I worked in fields of TIMS and isotope geochemistry of ore deposits. This paper introduces rammelsbergite (Ni arsenide mineral NiAs2) as a new potent 187Re-187Os proxy, which has nearly no common Os and concentrates high amounts of Re. In this context, rammelsbergite is comparable to molybdenite, which is broadly used for isochron and model age dating and tracing. This publication opens up the possibility for NiAs2 to become a new common mineral for Re-Os dating in geochemical environments, which are rich in arsenides.
